Cobá & Punta Laguna
One of the greatest Mayan sites that you can step foot in, Cobá presents various buildings and the world famous Nohoch Muul pyramid. From the top of the pyramid, you can enjoy a dazzling view over the jungle and the lakes of Cobá.
Located 18 km north of Cobá, the Punta Laguna is the perfect place for exploring the local ecosystem. Home of hundreds of mammals such as the puma, howler monkeys and white-tailed deer. And if you’re looking to get an even broader feeling of the culture, a small archaeological site made of 36 structures is hidden in the dense vegetation near the lagoon. This site is considered to have been built between 300 BC and 250 AD.
